ENVIRONMENT VERSES TECHNOLOGY

 Technology is one of the things that many people have learned to embrace since the pandemic engulfed the world. Many people have opted for online activities. Companies have embraced virtual working at all times to sustain the economy and also fight the spread of the deadly coronavirus. These brought about a lot of excitement in understanding new technologies to the extent that people forget their effect on us.

Technologies tend to use more resources and power than they need,  and this can create a big mess when using and manufacturing them.

How technology can harm the environment

Used computers or electronic devices, when disposed of they create a lot of waste called e-waste. These devices contain harmful materials that are unsafe to the environment

The toxic elements contained in electronic devices pose a health risk to us as human beings by causing diseases such as cancer. At the same time,  when one is addicted to technology definitely, it might lead to health problems such as obesity or even eye problems.

Pollution is also common because of the use and production of technology. When  the e-waste  materials are, disposed of without following the correct procedure, then the harmful substances can end up polluting, be it air, water, or land.


Note that it will be better for us to use technology smartly and more responsibly so that we avoid creating problems for the future.

    It has some truth. Especially when it comes to e waste. Proper disposal mechanism should be put in place. In some countries, used electronic products have a place to dispose.
